Zu den terroristischen Angriffen in Israel
Angesichts der Ereignisse im Nahen Osten erklären wir uns solidarisch mit unseren Freund*innen und Kolleg*innen in- und außerhalb von Israel.
Wir nehmen Anteil an ihrem Leid, ihrer Erschütterung, ihrer Angst und ihrer Trauer. Auch wir sind erschüttert, im Angesicht des Ausmaßes der Grausamkeiten.
Jegliche Sympathie mit islamistischem Terror ebenso wie jegliche Form von Antisemitismus lehnen wir ab und setzen uns dafür ein, dass jüdische Mitbürger*innen und Israelische Staatsbürger*innen in Deutschland sicher leben können.
Unsere Arbeit sehen wir weiterhin und nochmal verstärkt darin, Räume zu schaffen für Menschlichkeit und Begegnung, für Diskurs und für Gedankenfreiheit. Für Empathie.
Jedwede Radikalisierung steht dem demokratischen Miteinander entgegen.
Wir verurteilen Terror und Extremismus, der unsägliches Leid für Zivilist*innen auf beiden Seiten des Konflikts bedeutet und denken an all jene, die Familienmitglieder und Freund*innen verloren haben und deren Leben bedroht ist.

In light of the events in the Middle East, we declare our solidarity with our friends and colleagues inside and outside Israel. We share in their suffering, their shock, their fear and their grief. We too are shocked by the scale of the atrocities.
We reject any sympathy with Islamist terror as well as any form of anti-Semitism and are committed to ensuring that Jewish citizens and Israeli citizens can live safely in Germany.
Furthermore, we see our work even stronger in creating spaces for humanity and encounter, for discourse and for freedom of thought. For empathy.
Any kind of radicalisation is contrary to democratic coexistence.
We condemn terror and extremism, which means unspeakable suffering for civilians on both sides of the conflict, and think of all those who have lost family members and friends and whose lives are threatened.
