English below19:00 COMPOST - Swampy Company [Belgien]
seines eigenen Todes tun?

20:30 TARO.CAPA.X – Christine Zeides [Berlin]

19:00 COMPOST – Swampy Company [Belgien]
On a compost pile where everything lives and dies, dwells a worm. It dreams only of making piles of corpses to devour. But what can it do in the face of the inevitable reality of its own death?
19:45 KESSELRAUM 6 – Luisa Ilisch [Berlin]
Frederick Barrett, one of the chief stokers on the Titanic at the time, is furious. The Titanic—romance—pah! He sets the record straight and tells the tragic story from his perspective. To do so, he uses what he knows best: coal.
20:30 TARO.CAPA.X – Christine Zeides [Berlin]
Gerda Taro and Robert Capa were among the first practitioners of participatory photography—they fearlessly documented the Spanish Civil War, risking their lives in the process. War photography creates a deeply intimate proximity to the destruction, death, and suffering of others that seems surreal. It straddles the line between responsible reporting and artistic empathy. TARO.CAPA.X reflects on the power of images and honors the courage of all those who—today as in the past—use their cameras to bear witness to the cruelty of war.
