SEANAPS FESTIVAL 2026 • TEN
Vom 17. bis 20. September 2026 feiert das Seanaps Festival in Leipzig sein Jubiläum unter dem Titel TEN. Die Ausgabe blickt dabei durch die Linse des visionären Kurzfilms „Powers of Ten“ (1977) von Ray und Charles Eames – einem Meilenstein visueller Experimente, der das Universum im Rhythmus der Zahl Zehn vermaß um die fundamentale Verbundenheit aller Dinge aufzuzeigen. Seanaps Festival überträgt dieses Prinzip auf die Auseinandersetzungen mit Klang.
Die eingeladenen lokalen wie internationalen Künstler:innen erforschen Klang als skalierbares Medium – vom Mikrokosmos des menschlichen Körpers bis hin zum Makrokosmos von Technologie, Umwelt und Gemeinschaft. In Konzerten, Performances, Interventionen, Installationen, Workshops, einem Festival Radio und einer Ausstellung entstehen temporäre Räume für gemeinsame Hörerfahrungen. Die Jubiläumsausgabe bündelt die Impulse eines über zehn Jahre gewachsenen, internationalen Netzwerks und kartografiert aktuelle, wegweisende Positionen experimenteller Musik, Kunst und Kultur.

From September 17 to 20, 2026, the Seanaps Festival in Leipzig will celebrate its anniversary under the title TEN. This edition will explore the theme through the lens of the visionary short film “Powers of Ten” (1977) by Ray and Charles Eames—a milestone in visual experimentation that measured the universe in multiples of ten to illustrate the fundamental interconnectedness of all things. The Seanaps Festival applies this principle to its exploration of sound. The invited local and international artists explore sound as a scalable medium—from the microcosm of the human body to the macrocosm of technology, the environment, and community. Through concerts, performances, interventions, installations, workshops, a festival radio station, and an exhibition, temporary spaces for shared listening experiences are created. The anniversary edition brings together the ideas of an international network that has grown over the past ten years and maps out current, groundbreaking approaches to experimental music, art, and culture.
